Thanks. I will pass that suggestion on. He has given the following
information. 

Additionally, it looks like you can either accept or deny the download.
Once you do, you can refresh your browser and that should let you in as
well.

Okay guys, I think I duplicated the behavior. I turned off my cookies
and then tried to login in which won't work as BB needs cookies.

 

I turned them back on and tried to login and it wanted me to download a
file. I downloaded it, and nothing happened, but it kept the login
window open with my credentials filled out. I just hit login again and
it let me right in. 

 

Please hit login again immediately after you download the file and let
me know what happens.

We definitely use cookies for lots of things online...not the problem,
at least for me.  Me thinks your sys admin needs to add a "AddHandler"
for the usual suspects for outside hosts.  He probably has Handlers set
up for internal use, but not external.  If it's IIS...well, whatever the
equivelent to handlers is in Windows :-)

Yes I got exactly the same problem. IE 6, 7 and FF all do not work at
all,
it prompted for downloading a file and then nothing happens.

I have tried firefox and IE - it wants to dl a file everytime.

Hi,

I checked with our blackboard account mangers and they suggested trying
WELCOME all caps as your password. If you already tried that, use the
forgot password and type your email address. The login information
should be the same information you use for the survey site.
