ATTENTION ALL RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS!!!!

Winter Break is approaching, and the Office of Campus Life wants to bring your attention to a few important dates and deadlines that you will need to know:

¨Residence halls CLOSE promptly at 12:00 noon on December 23rd,
2009

You must be out of your room by 12:00 noon.  Residence Life staff will be closing the halls for the break period.  Personal Access Codes will be removed at this time and student
ID’s will be inactivated. You will not have access to either the building or your rooms after noon.

Halls re-open on Sunday, January 24th, 2010 at 12:00 noon.
Please make the appropriate travel arrangements.

¨Not coming back next semester?

If you are going abroad for the Spring 2010 semester or not returning to campus for any reason after the break, you must return your room to its original condition (personal
items removed and the room swept) before you leave.  Any damage to either the room or the furniture will result in your student account being charged repair/replacement fee(s).

Any personal items left behind will be removed and disposed of at the time the room is cleaned and prepared for the resident who will occupy that room in the spring. YOU WILL
BE CHARGED A CLEANING FEE.

¨Winter Break Housing (Deadline for requests: December 16th)

If you must be in your room at any time during winter break, you must submit a request to the Office of Campus Life/Residential Services. Requests are not automatically approved.
You may be approved for winter housing if you meet one of the conditions below.

1.      You are an International Student.
2.      You are working on campus and have a letter from your employer.
3.      You have academic obligations requiring you to be on campus and have a letter from your professor.
4.      You are on a winter sports team and the Campus Life Office has received confirmation from the Athletic Department that you have practice prior
to the opening of residence halls.  Sports clubs are not included under these conditions.

These are the only acceptable reasons for being on campus during any portion of the winter break.  These guidelines will be strictly adhered to.

All requests for housing over winter break must be submitted to the Office of Campus Life no later than December 15, 2008.  Requests can be emailed to
Susan.salisbury at trincoll.edu.  Any requests to remain after December 23rd or return prior to January 24th that are submitted after December 16thmay be denied.

If you have any questions regarding the closing of residence halls or the re-opening of the residence halls, please contact the Office of Campus Life at x2305.

Please note:  the College will be closed at noon on Wednesday, December 23rd and will reopen at 8:30 am on Monday, January 4th.
