Subject: [sigmaa-ql] Director of Math Center Position Available at Western New England University


Western New England University in Springfield, MA is looking to hire a new Math Center Director.  This position reports directly to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, but works very closely with the Chair of the Mathematics Department.  The Math Center Director will be responsible for the hiring, training and supervising of all staff (including over 30 student tutors), effective management of payroll and the budget, math placement recommendations for incoming students, statistical analyses, regular communication with stakeholders around campus, and teaching three courses per year.

Applicants must have at least a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field, strong administrative skills, and a record of excellence in and a strong commitment to teaching. Previous experience in a similar position is a plus.  Review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.
