Dear Colleagues,

We wanted to make you aware of a panel discussion on mathematics support which will be held online on Friday, January the 8th.

It is part of the Joint Mathematical Meetings (JMM) of the AMS and MAA (https://www.jointmathematicsmeetings.org/<https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jointmathematicsmeetings.org%2F&data=04%7C01%7Cschuckers%40stlawu.edu%7C4686c8c66caf4d5702e708d8a5a7cf1a%7Cbb31816d91e742198acbd6c0e715eb0c%7C1%7C0%7C637441487459149430%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=NYHK7pY0JG4wgiODCJf9rFOboghmItzoMGBIPBBscrk%3D&reserved=0>) and will run from 9-10:20am (MST) which is 4-5:20pm (GMT). To attend the event, you need to register for JMM and there is a registration fee. We are hoping the panel will be recorded for those unable to attend.

The panel title is 'Math Support Centers: The Need for Support, the Student Experience, and the Return on Investment', and it is facilitated by CiarĂ¡n Mac an Bhaird (Maynooth University) and Alison Reddy (University of Illinois).

The panelists bring a wealth of national and international mathematics support experience. They are Grace Coulombe (Bates College), Michael Grove (University of Birmingham), Duncan Lawson (Coventry University), Melissa Mills (Oklahoma State University), and Michael Schuckers (St. Lawrence University).

Cheers and all the best for a healthy new year,
Schuckers et al.
