This email is intended for directors/coordinators of college-level 
mathematics and quantitative reasoning support centers.  We hope you can 
help out our project by completing a 10-15 minute survey about the 
configuration and services of your center.  The survey may be found at

If you are not such a director but have a math center at your 
institution please ensure this email finds its way to the director or 
coordinator support services.

Some background about our project:

A small group of directors of Quantitative and Mathematics Support 
Centers (QMaSCs) has recently joined together to compile a handbook of 
best practices.  This Handbook for Directors of QMaSCs will be the 
primary outcome of a project funded by the National Science Foundation 
(Grant No.1255945).

Any school lucky enough to house a QMaSC knows that such a center is 
pivotal in keeping students in the STEM pipeline, developing a future 
workforce with the required tools for tackling STEM problems, and 
serving students outside of STEM majors to broaden quantitative 
competency in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.

The introduction in the handbook will include a classification of the 
types of QMaSCs that may be found at a variety of colleges, 
universities, and community colleges.  We need your help to complete the 
survey in order to make this classification as comprehensive as possible.
