<p style="margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:black">It has been roughly fifteen years since Steen et al.’s
<i>Mathematics and Democracy</i>, and much has happened since its release. This is a call for chapter proposals for a new volume on quantitative literacy and reasoning in the MAA Notes Series. The goal is to update the work that has occurred in relation to
quantitative literacy since the last MAA Notes publication on the topic a decade ago. This new text will have several themes, including vision (e.g., is QL evolving?), equity and social justice (e.g., discourse, power and authority, social justice curriculum),
trends in curriculum (e.g., Pathways, the Common Core), assessment, technology (e.g., online learning, social media), and pedagogy, among other potential topics (e.g., a tribute to Lynn Steen). There will also be a space for critical reflective essays for
individuals interested in meditating on the past and future of quantitative literacy.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

new revelations that would be of interest to those in the quantitative literacy community.
